Hey! Is anybody going to the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona this weekend?

Re: Turkey Rod Run at Daytona
When is it? I wondered why I saw so many cars headed east on 44 yesterday.

Cuda:
It starts today and runs until Sunday night. Last year there were 5500 rod, custom and classic cars older than 1979. I go every year. It's the best. Ed |

Gang:
I'm going to Daytona in a few minutes. If any of you are going, stop at the Pontiac club area. I am the technical advisor for the Hurricane Chapter of the Pontiac-Oakland Club International. (POCI). Stop in for a free lunch and introduce yourself. Ed Cozzi |

It's at the Speedway. But if you bring a chair and hang out on A1A at night you will be very impressed with the hardware driving around.

Re: Turkey Rod Run at Daytona
I just got back from Daytona. We went to look at some bikes. We got caught in all that traffic going and coming. What usually takes around 30 minutes to drive, took an hour. We did see some sweet rides though. My favorite we saw on the road was an Anglia with a big snorkel scoop, narrowed with wheelie bars. Fromt the sound of the engine, the wheelie bars were probably warranted. :D

Just got in from the Rod Run. Saw some great rides, heard some monster engines, smelled some wonderful HP fuel and met gmhdfan live and in person!
