I'll take 2 :D :D

Re: ZZ 575 /720 hp
720 is race fuel only. The 620 is not and I believe Eliminator used one in a boat recently

Re: ZZ 575 /720 hp
I was considering these motors (the 620 HP) but I didn't know enough about them and I was hearing good/negative things about these motors for a boat. the GM add says that NO warranty if used in a boat. :(

There is a thread about them in the Tech. section.

Re: ZZ 575 /720 hp
GM has been having very good results with these engines.
We supply the carburetors for them. The only problems we've really had with them, is that they haven't been able to build them fast enough. |
Re: ZZ 575 /720 hp
I'll take three :D my mechanic and I have been going back and fourth on these motors

Re: ZZ 575 /720 hp
A dyno for days is a little exteme but they are looking for the weakest links. My engines saw a couple hours of WOT on the dyno. I have been told they will run them WOT for up to 5 hours looking for failure.
Actually runing a motor at 85% all day long is not that bad. However Flying one in and out of the water with constant throttle adjustments combined with the pounding is not that good. |
