Re: New Year's Day "Fun Run"
Can I ask a silly question? I have been a "lurker" here for a a while now and the NYD fun rule sounds like a absolute blast. I am fairly close in St. Pete. I have some concern that the cruise speed will be above what my slow a%s wake board boat will cruise. I assume there will be several groups at different speeds. What are the "slow" groups?

Probably 45/50 mph I would guess. I've got a couple of guys down here who are thinking of taking their CC fishing boats along to do the run.
The actual run isn't that far, I think I checked it at forty something miles. And Mar Vista is a great place to end up. From there you could just head north and be on your way back home, unless you trailer down.

Re: New Year's Day "Fun Run"
This sounds like one hell of a fun thing to do on New Year's Day (besides watching the Rose Bowl Parade )
I think I will trailer "Orange" down for this. You "slow guys" don't worry, I am just learning how to handle this boat and will probably be behind you!
I will try to talk Will into bringing his new "personnal watercraft" out for this too.

Re: New Year's Day "Fun Run"
We'll know what the weather is for New Year's Day on New Year's Eve, IF we're lucky.
Considering the weather cycle for the last two weeks it should be in a "warm spell". Just have to keep our fingers crossed.
