Re: Murphy's gone
Donna, I'm sorry to have found this post so late, and I'm very sorry to hear of Murphy's passing. Our little girl Megan has been gone for almost two years and it's still difficult for me to look at pictures of her,,,,,,,she was my little girl,,,,,,
Pete missed her very much but he's gotten used to being the #1 dog now. He's 13 and we know we'll be dealing with the inevitable much sooner than we would like,,,,
Call if we can help in any way. Dave

Thanks for taking time to post your thoughts and kind words. From reading the board over the last few years I know how many other members have pets that are close to their hearts. I remember years ago an acquaintance laughing while telling me a story of friend of his that lost his cat. He said the guy took it so hard, that he sent him a sympathy card as a joke. He said he couldn't believe it when his friend took it seriously and thanked him!!! Some people just don't get it.......
Crazyhorse I remember you telling me this summer you thought something was wrong and to take her to MI State, we did take her to specialists recommended by MSU and they did a lot of blood work and found nothing. Short of a bunch of MRI's and other stuff they said it would be hard to pinpoint, and we just really thought her behavior was normal for her age. Give Petie a hug in memory of Murphy, and everyone else give their pets and extra big hug and treat also

James we don't have plans for a new Yorkie anytime soon. If we did not have Duffy it might be differnt, but for now he will get all the attention and treats.

Re: Murphy's gone
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I, too, have recently lost the love of my life. On October 26, I woke from my evening nap before a night shift to find my Golden Retriever Abigail not in the bedroom. A cold chill suddenly went through the house. I found her at the foot of the couch downstairs where we spent so much of our quiet time together. It was very unexpected and without warning. I have been devastated ever since.
Like your's, she loved going on the boat and travelling in the RV. She survived thyroid problems, arthritis, and sarcoma of her small intestine two and a half years ago, wagging her tail through all of it. She was the inspiration for "RedDog" and will be missed dearly.
My thoughts and prayers are with you through your sadness and fondest memories.
Chris

aaaah, Chris so sorry to hear that. We have several friends with Goldens and they are wonderful loving dogs so I know what you are missing. One of our neighbors has a male, and when they go on vacation neighbors actually fight over who will watch Casey. Hopefuly when you are ready you will welcome another dog into your home. Donna
