=============================
Powered by twin 1400hp Caterpillar 3412 with 570/573 hours on the motors and a 20 Kw Northern Lights generator 825 hours. This is one of two Fountain Yachts that were produced. There is a large cockpit with U-seating around a table. Enclosed helm with lounge with full mini galley including icemaker, refrigerator, sink and two burner stove top. The salon is roomy with the galley to port, Master stateroom is forward with private head and separate shower enclosure. There are two more berths mid-ship to port and starboard on either side of the companionway steps
BIG Fountain!!!!

nice boat. done in cooperation with fabio buzzi when he was still friends with reggie. the boat has trimax surface drives which is why the whole thing is bulletproof and performs so well. i think they actually saw 63 mph on one of these which is excellent performance with 3412 CATs. so i don't think the boat itself was the weak link.
the problem is the fact that the 65 puts fountain in direct competition with Baia, Pershing, Sunseeker, Magnum and the likes. And that is a difficult market because customers for that sort of boat are very painful ie. they expect more than perfection. and the fountain 65, although a well-engineered boat with great performance, was never finished to that sort of standard...

The yacht was an asolute turd as well as poorly laid out. They trashed the mold when the Pamlico flooded a few years ago and collected the insurance $$$
