Who has the best prop shop out there!?
Hi!
I am buying a new Tempest 27 prop that will be blueprinted / labfinished and thinned, and I would be very happy if you could let me know of the best shop out there. There are several nice people out there, but who is the best? Cheeers and thanks, Toffen  |

Houston Propeller is one of 2 that I have used and the only one I would recommend. Darin was excellently priced, excellent work and fast!
I have not used Throttle Up |

Houston Prop did mine last spring. The price was good and so was the service.

Do you have prop shops or folks over there that can fix dings and voids? If so, I would say go ahead and thin it. However, your prop becomes VERY fragile when thinned. A twig will take the final edge off and make it ugly. I think the benefit of having it thinned is not worth the hassle and cost over just having it trued, sharpened, and perfected.
