Im going to Florida, who should i visit.
 

As most of you know, Ive been looking for a later model 28 Skater for several months now. I made an offer on two so far, one I was out bid by 3k and the other is very overpriced so we cant seem to make a deal.
This weekend is my birthday and since Im aloud to do whatever I want :drink: , I decided Im going to go to Florida (Delray/Boca area) and look at some boats. :p
Im looking for a twin outboard cat, used. I would like to look at the quality of the some of the others (AMT, Spectre, etc) as compared to the Skater.
I would also like to check out a good rigging shop as there are a few 28's that need to be redone. Im not looking for a project boat but if the numbers work out I guess it could be an option.

If anyones around that would like to get together for a drink let me know.

Might want to make a couple of phone calls to check on the price of Insurance on any Cat's nowadays!! I've heard that only two company's will insure them and the price starts at about $2,500.00 per year!!! :eek:

Insurance is definatly steep on these boats but lets face it, there isnt much when it comes to performance boating that is reasonable. I had quotes on a 28 Skater just north of your figure :eek:
