One of my favorite movies... Parts of it were filmed in southern Missouri.

Re: Looking for a late 80's Mercedes

We just sold a 90 560SEC black/palomino 69k miles in the low 20s. We have an 88 560SEC red/black leather with 108k miles. 1982 380SEC white/blue leather 64k miles. They are hard to come by these days for low mileage. I'll keep my eyes open.

I may know of a 1991 SEC Silver/Blue, 47k miles. I'll ask L.S. tonight.

Sleeper,
They are out there but nice ones are hard to come by.
I sold my 1991 560 Sec / AMG done by RennTech a couple of years back and have forever regretted it. (50,000 miles on it when I sold it) I still think it is one of the classiest models ever built by Mercedes. (126 chassis)
Harmut and Bob at RennTech really did the number to that one. Lights, Cams, Exhaust, Suspension, Wheels and Tires. There is a website www.mbcoupes.com that I would recommend. A man there Carl Genberg bought my 560 and as far as I know he might still own it. I also agree that www.Mercedesshowroom.com is great choice too. Lucky Strike can probably find you one as fast as anyone here.
Best and Good Luck.

P.S here are some pics that RennTech took before we shipped it to California for Carl.

The plates stayed with me and went on my AMG RennTech 600sl. I later changed to them to 1 HOT V12. To reflect all the work that they did on that one. Believe it or not the Cig front plate really got all the attention.

i don't know where you are from, but if you are in the midwest, you could try Isringhausen Imports.....1-(866)-810-3718. they are located in Springfield, IL and can provide shipping to anywhere you need. they mostly deal with late models, but also take nice MB, BMW, Porsche, Rover, Ferrrari trades.

Re: Looking for a late 80's Mercedes

Hey LS -

I'm still 3 months away from pulling the trigger, but what about a low mileage 2004 CLK320 ?
What would a ballpark price be ?

Thanks,
Hans
