It looks like he was heading out of an inlet.
Maybe his steering broke? |
Re: I hate it when This happens
What a dumb a$$, don't deserve it. That's got to be way to much speed to scrub off in a short distance. :D

HYDROLIFT TAKES UP RESIDENCY ON THE PALM JUMEIRAH!!
Tuesday, 7 December DUBAI (UAE): This morning’s official practice for today’s Palm Speed Record was momentarily and dramatically interrupted when Norwegian entry, Hydrolift, spun out and ended up ‘beached’ on the outer breakwater of The Palm Jumeirah. “I was too hard on the throttles trying get up to speed and made a mistake.” said throttleman Bard Eker. “We came into the left hand turn, the nose was a little low and we had too much throttle. The front end hooked and then went straight on up on the breakwater.” added Dutch driver, Ricardo Brkovic. Rescue crews were immediately on the scene but both pilots were unhurt and the first indications are that the boat is not too seriously damaged. |

Not anymore :D |
Re: I hate it when This happens
It doesn't look too bad, at least from this picture, considering the distance it climbed and what it's on. Not like it ran up on a sandy beach. I think the fact that it didn't splinter is pretty impressive. :D
