The headers we had on display were tri-Y type ,I am not sure what Hyper means by pyramids, cause I thought those were in Egypt. Headers and manifolds are two different animals. Lots of good headers out there, lots of manifolds out there. Everybody has their ideas on what works best for them. Thats what we call freedom of choice.

The guy he works for is going to start selling them or making them or whatever so without ever actually using one or understanding all the reasons why everyone has to wait 6 months (no logical replies to your questions) he has once again over reacted.

This is only a guess but I bet I'm close

Hyper when you post something like this back it up or don't bother posting.

Now go back to being a kid and try not to be a puppet :(

BTW I see that you are advertising Prochargers in your signature and I have to wonder how the board advertisers feel about this. And yes I know I'm picking on you again

By pyramid collector are you talking about the collector design that Burns Stainless has been making for several years? Is somebody using this for a marine header? Not sure of the big advantage in the collector area with the water mix unless it is for dry exhaust. How about giving us more info? If it was on display at the show info should be availabe. Unfortunately I was so busy at the show, I was not able to venture out of my booth much but anything that I display and must of us disply is available with info to back it. Come on and fess-up.

No. I did go to the PRI show in Indy with the guy I work for, does that count?

Billy Boat Headers is making big block chevy headers with pyramid collectors. I did not have a camera with me that day, but scanned a card, so info should be here soon. In the collector itself, instead of there being 4 tubes welded into one big one, they merge into the collector smoother, more power. They said they should have a set on the dyno within the next month or two, and had just finished the one header (one, not a set yet) wednesday before the show. I dont know a ton about putting a product from the drawing board to a shop, but they said within 6 months they will be out. When I have the info here it will be posted.

If a board advertiser dosent like that, then let me know. Can take it off, up until now no one has had a problem with it.

pachangalpina-Have a pic of the Burns stainless collectors?

Raylar, where was your booth set up?

Re: If you are planning to buy headers

We built merge style collectors years ago for the 500 CI class one engines. Small improvements in some areas, but every HP. was critical in that class.

Re: If you are planning to buy headers

I don't have pics of the Burns part but they may have a website. I remember working with them several years back on a 5-1 merge collector for the Vipers that had a similiar transition instead of the 5 pipes dumping into one. The gains were small but every little bit helps. They also had slip-in venturies that could be dyno tuned in conjunction with the collector for further gains.

Keep us posted.
