Cool looking boat. That's why my picture was so out of focus, I wanted to get a pic before you were out of range.

Yeah, the ride in the Formula was definetly shorter. We were there early and running around a bit, running perfect, but when it was time to start the run, I couldn't get the port engine to get up on a plane. It would idle fine and rev up fine out of gear, but put in gear and try to get up, it'd backfire and stall. Luckily it was right in front of the boat ramp. When I got to the ramp, I told a guy my symptoms. He said you have a Holley right? When I said yes, he said bad power valve.

Sorry to hear about that. We were just saying that we didnt remember seeing your boat at the Crazy Gator. From what I understand it only takes one backfire to blow out that power valve.

Several of the smaller boats didnt make the run because of the rough conditions, they showed up at the Gator with the boats on trailers. I overheard someone saying their transom cracked and someone else said their propshaft broke.

Yeah, then today I tried to fire it up, and the port starter took a crap on me. I hope to have it all fixed by New Year's Day for the fun run in Sarasota.

What! Ive never seen that before. Any idea why it happened?
Yeah, I lost my trim at the end of the day, Saturday, and had to use the manual override. I'm thinking its the switch. It goes down but not up. I will be trying to make it to the fun run too.
