Some guys don't realize that the Merc dipstick is designed to suck from it. While it does leave some leftover in the motor, the point I am trying to make is that you don't stick a teeny TUBE down the dipstick hole and try to suck from it. That'll take a month of Sundays. You screw a garden hose ONTO the TOP of the dipstick tube. Comes out much faster.
With that said, the drain plug hole is the BEST way to pull it out... |

With that said, the drain plug hole is the BEST way to pull it out... :D BTW I'm not sure on this but I have heard that the standard drain plug adapters don't hold up well in a high performance (wave pounding application) It is better to install stronger through the pan or weld some type of fitting instead?????? I use a old 90degree spark plug boot over the top of the dipstick tube and hook it into the larger line on the electric change bucket. |

With that said, the drain plug hole is the BEST way to pull it out... How about only changing filter every other when changing often (10-20hrs)?? |
