Some guys don't realize that the Merc dipstick is designed to suck from it. While it does leave some leftover in the motor, the point I am trying to make is that you don't stick a teeny TUBE down the dipstick hole and try to suck from it. That'll take a month of Sundays. You screw a garden hose ONTO the TOP of the dipstick tube. Comes out much faster.
With that said, the drain plug hole is the BEST way to pull it out...

BTW I'm not sure on this but I have heard that the standard drain plug adapters don't hold up well in a high performance (wave pounding application) It is better to install stronger through the pan or weld some type of fitting instead??????
I use a old 90degree spark plug boot over the top of the dipstick tube and hook it into the larger line on the electric change bucket.

How about only changing filter every other when changing often (10-20hrs)??
