Imco 4x4's, any input?

Does anyone have any experience or first hand knowledge of these drives? I was thinking this is the way to go for a bravo conversion.

Step up to the Arneson conversion..... by they time you go through two IMCO replacements in about 50 hours... you will wish you had.

There's been a lot of first hand experience with IMCO reported on those threads. I think it'll give you some insight.

Weisman is coming out with a direct bravo replacement in late January, according to Pat at weisman. It sounds like they have their stuff figured out. I may be waiting to see how they come out. It is supposed to be rated at 750 HP and shifts like a bravo. I am not real sure if I want to be a guinee pig, boating season is too short. My choices are max machine, speedmasters V or IIIa, arnesons, or weismans. Anybody out there with any good info on any of them is appreciated.

Anyone know how much horsepower a speedmaster will rob, compared to a bravo, six dry sump, or arneson?

Sounds like Imco is going downhill. With how big Imco is, you would think that there customer service would be top notch. After reading that thread I crossed off the 4x4 drives from my list. OSO kicks butt!
