Anyone know where to get these?
1 Attachment(s)
I saw this bumper holder on a new Outerlimits at the Ft. Lauderdale show. Storing bumpers are a huge pain. This is a great idea. Anyone if someone sells these?
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
they look like custom laid up fiberglass... probably could have them made pretty cheap...
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
Can you get PVC conduit w/ that big of an inner diameter?
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
probably could do that too.....
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
I assume your talking about the fenders in the picture :D
That is a pretty good idea if you have the space right now my fenders are crammed under the rear bench seat which is a pain ITA. I'm sure you could find PVC tubing big enough, that would make a good winter project. |
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
I've looked everywhere and all I can find is those cheap metal ones that will last 10 minutes in our boats.
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
If you find out ...I'll take a set! :D
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
um....just a thought....call Outerlimits....maybe?
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
You don't need bumper/fender holders taking up valuble beer storage space. That's what rubrails are for. USE EM! :drink:

Re: Anyone know where to get these?
Beer....too much clutter...1/2 gal of Capt. Morgan and a few 2 liters of coke Good To Go :drink:
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?

Re: Anyone know where to get these?
****Too Old...new product alert****
if too old makes them they will have to be bright bling bling style tho |
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
I've had good luck making them out of "starboard". Cut two pieces, an upper and a lower, then bolt them in. I've seen some other boat manufacturers do this and it comes out pretty nice. Starboard is pretty easy to work with, you can sand the sides, then quickly hit the edges with a torch to make them shiny.

Re: Anyone know where to get these?
I made some out of starboard too.
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
what is starboard? is that the brand name...? are you talking about diamond plate?
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
Its plastic that comes in 4x8 sheets like plywood.
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
thanks.... i think i know now, brain ain't always working right... :drink:
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
Uhhh, those sure are some small fenders for a boat the size of an outerlimits.

Re: Anyone know where to get these?
And no rub rails to worry about scratching!
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
Looks like plastic . Molded not PVC. It would be nice if it could bolt the the under side of the hatch.
It ya ues the metal ones or these they need to be removeable to beable to work on the motors. yes we still work on them :D |
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
To me it just seems easier to buy an OL, then it's built in, nothin to worry about. :D
|
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
Does look very nice.
Looks more like plastic vs FG??? |
Re: Anyone know where to get these?
You should be able to pick them up at most fishing stores like Bass Pro Shop or online. They are storage tubes for holding live bait--generally live blackfin tuna that has to be stored upside down to minimize movement. It just so happened that someone was creative enough to come up with another use for them. Do a search for Tuna Tubes on google
