Exclamation Help the wounded at Walter Reed in D.C.

I have forwarded this to friends and family over the past couple of weeks and there's been a super response from many. The source is from www.military.com a reputable site. I myself have sent off two separate salvo's of phone cards for those young folks away from home under the unfortunate circumstances of being wounded while in the service of our great nation.
While out running down the last items on your shopping list, grab a few phone cards (they're cheap) and toss'em in an envelope to Walter Reed Medical Center in D.C. It'll make the holidays a bit brighter by allowing our service members to call home and not have it cost anyone a fortune to do.

Subject: Support America's Wounded

Yellow ribbons tied around trees and red, white and blue stickers on the back of SUVs saying "Support our Troops" are things that make civilians feel good, but do nothing for the men and women actually in uniform.

So please consider the following:

The number ONE request at Walter Reed hospital is phone cards. The government doesn't pay long distance phone charges and these wounded soldiers are rationing their calls home.

Many will be there throughout the holidays. Really support our troops --Send phone cards of any amount to:

Medical Family Assistance Center
Walter Reed Medical Center
6900 Georgia Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20307-5001

They say they need an "endless" supply of these -- any amount even $5 is greatly appreciated.

Walmart has good prices on AT&T cards, Sams Club is even better, if you are a member.

Please pass this portion on, copy and paste it into your e-mail, and send to everyone you know.

NOTE: ANYONE can also buy phone cards through the PX on line by going to this web address: (They will even mail them to a specific Soldier if you have their address)
