Finally in Tampa!

Ok, Ok, only for those who care or have been following my year-long saga of gettin out of Jersey.

Finally moved in a couple weeks ago, got the boat at Home Port Marina, and just finished cleaning it up. Have not splashed it yet... bought a new C-MAP chip to keep it off the rocks.

Now I have to look all you guys up in the area that have been giving me pointers.

I thought I would miss 'Jersey, but I have to tell you, it's kinda hard when its Dec. 21 and 75 degrees and sunny.

Good luck down there shooter! My sis just moved down there about 8 months ago. New Hyde Park. She's actually coming up to NJ today for Christmas! I get down there quite often.....heck, free room.....sun.....rough choice, huh? I hooked up with a bunch of Donzi guys down there and they showed me Shell Island.....very cool spot.

Enjoy the sun !

Matter of fact, I bought my house during hurricane Jeanne.

Thanx Mike, I'm off the next two weeks and looking to go out for the first time. Sticking to the channel markers to start.

Too bad it's supposed to rain the next couple days... been sunny for the last week or so. That's my luck.

Hey R' Addiction, I just turned 40 and decided the next 40 were going to be different. Took me almost a year to get down here.

I see you are in Malvern, I have a business trip there 1st week of the new year, so I get to "visit" cold weather. I still can't understand why people tell me I'oll miss the change of the seasons... well, if you say so. :evilb:

I work for Microsoft, on the consulting side, visiting Siemens Corp. They own most of that campus out there. My old Co. is on boot Rd. in West Chester.

You'll love it there. From there south to Sarasota is the best boating area in the state, no matter what those south florida guys try to tell you. I miss it over there already, but only the boating.

Be careful traveling north from there. There is LOTS of shallow water north of Tarpon Springs.

What is north of Tarpon? I have been up to Tarpon a couple times for lunch but have never gone north of that. Anything cool up there?

Wanted to mention a great New Years Party in Tampa. A group that I am a member of, Thirteen Ugly Men, are throwing a huge bash at Jackson's on Harbor Island. Should have around two thousand people. You can purchase invites for only $20 women or $30 men online at www.13uglymen.com The group is not for profit and usually charges over $100 per person. This should be the best New Years Party. Check out the website for more info.
