Anyone have info on Mares 38 Cat??
Don't see them very often actually never seen ne in person. I was wondering if they have been around a while and what type of performance they are capable of? Also what is the price range of these cats? And how do they hold up and compare with say Awsome, and Eliminator.d
Thanks

That's funny!
I was just going to suggest to contact CB as he used to be involved with them and probably knew the "skinny".

Re: Anyone have info on Mares 38 Cat??
my friend in cape coral has one
very well built.. originally built in Australia, the company builds large yachts
and has been in business a long time.
A guy bought the molds for the 38 a few years ago and my friend got the first
one made. I was in Stuart when they were delivered.
I think they are using a different company to do there molds now, nice guys
and a real well made boat but not cheap. Will handle very rough water.
Not at all like an Eliminator or any other high performance cats.
They did start to make a fishing boat, I think two years ago

They look really nice. The picks here show it to be OB powered but they do built I/O models.
They claim their performance model will do 100+ mph with Merc 525's.

i rode in a sterndrive model and it wasn't the fastest but it flattened some rough water... i think it ran 90's with 500 HP.... built like a tank with a lot of room...
