Friday night drag races in Mich?
 

Where is that bar on the water that hosts drag boat racing every friday night during the summer?

Is there a web site? I believe someone said it was in Michigan.

Help!!! Sounds too extreme to miss.

If you want next summer you can hang with us on a Thursday night. I have a reserved slip and have been going there for more than 15 years. It can be a wild place depending on the mood of the crowds. The racing is cool with some very fast drag boats. What's even better is some of the spectators boats. Let me know if you want to make a run out and we'll take care of you!!

Ron, If you want to go, I will bring the big cat for the day. There are a bunch of COPS guys that go there once in a while.

If you come to town when we are having a COPS run, we can do both. Thursday night boat races and COPS run on Sat or Sun. So far we have 3 runs planned for 2005. 50-100 boats usually show up ranging up to 50 ft cats and Vee hulls. More Cigs than anywhere I have ever seen in one gathering.

You guys tell me what dates would be best. I like the idea of doing the COPS run while I'm there. Lets see how it fits in with the race schedules. Let's pick a date, I'll get approval from the publisher and we'll make plans from there.

I live on the chain - Lake Marie. Blarney Island is on Grass lake which is adjacent to the west. The owner is a very good friend of mine. I used to work there (10 yrs ago) and i'm there every thursday and most Sundays. The chain has many other attractions besides the "Island" and there are a few shallow areas (mostly mud) and I know it like the back of my hand. I'd love to play tour guide for a day. If not, you have to stop for a cocktail in the boat house. I promise you'll get some extreme pics.
