I think with trimmed down production in 2004 the buyers market was tapered down a lot. New sales incentives along with low interest rates on new boats are hurting used boat owners a lot. I made an offer on a boat that was listed for 430k and went in with 320k with a survey. After the survey and finding lots of problems I could see why he dropped his price. Buyer beware

Good luck on your search! Are you wanting to stay with an express? Do you prefer diesel? If so the Trojan/Carver 44 is a lot of boat for the cash and particularly soft on the resale side. Have a cheap deal on a 50'plus Sunseeker with bridge 1993 or 94 fresh interior, few details except should be way under market price. However it is not an express.

you guys are a great help been in same situation but with a lot less money 50,000 range been tracking a good deal or deals for a year now i am wondering if some of these boats are really for sale or not , track blue books other sales history etc. and every broker says the same thing seller will be insulted i do not think they show offers if seller is not on there butt ,made 45,0000 offer on 55,000 boat and almost got same answer thanks reading your advice
