Cig gladiator
I am looking for some feedback on these boats for myself.
I am looing for a pleasure boat for use on weekends and occasional poker runs. I boat mostly with my wife and 2 kids, 11 and 7. I am wondering how these boats handle with staggared 525 set ups, how rough the sit down style is in rougher water, how it handles rougher water Atlantic Ocean, how difficult is the transition from a traditional stand up style, etv...How are these boats from a hang out style, meaning on weekends not doing poker runs but going to a local spot to hang out for the day and anchor etc...
My firend keeps telling me top gun, and I know a top gun would be a better choice, but for me it is too $.
Also it seems as if there are a few 04 left overs around, why? What is a good price on one of these leftovers.
thanks

A Gladiator will be my next boat. You have to be sure about not having alot of room and no cabin, for me, I can do without them.
I would think with a family, it not be the boat. I would definately look at a Top Gun, mainly for the wife and kids to enjoy the boat more.

As a former multiple Topgun owner,I was a little worried about switching to the Gladiator. What I can tell you that I love the boat and really dont miss the Topgun.Sitting down feels slightly awkward at first but you get used to it real fast. You get so used to it in fact, that going back to Topgun and standing up feels awkward! As far as ride, the bottoms are different, and the staggered Gladiator rides just as well if not better than a Topgun. The only problem I see for you is that while it is a great overall boat,I think for your application with your kids it might not be the best choice.I have a scooped hatch which I love but sacrifices the comfort of a vinyl padded hatch. Also,I have no problem just hanging out,but it is just me and my girl.Four people, two adults and two children wouldnt work for me.I think if the kids are with you most of the time, the Topgun would be a better choice for you.

The wife and kids would surely appreciate a little more walk around room and a cuddy.
