I called on that boat last Spring. I think it's pretty cool but once the wife saw it, my pursuit was over.

Fred, What picture are you looking at? I boat with Chuck and both of his boats are spotless. Except for the formula when he took it to North Carolina and it was in the water for weeks at a time with no Bottom protection.

He's talking about the pic at the beginning of this thread. The bottom looks VERY nasty in the pic. May be misleading though.

Not sure of the history of the boat that's for sale, other than it would definitely be an Armada, not a Swedish hull like mine. There was another one with the same paint scheme, roof, etc. listed at the same time, but with "White Fang II" on the side of it.

Both are knockoff's of my paint scheme, which was NOT supposed to happen when I leased mine to Armada, but I don't know if they painted these two at the factory or not...

If they are in good shape, they might be worth $40k-$50k on a good day, depending on hours, options, interior layout (there were two molds) etc.

I wouldn't sell mine for $50k, though....

C_Spray , was hoping you would comment. was on your site again last night looking at all the pics.

i take it armadas are a lesser boat? same mold but different crew laying them up?
is a/c really needed or would adding a fresh air vent somewhere be enough?
how hard is it to climb into after after taking a swim?

Chuck, is "Try Me" hitting the water this year? I need to get a ride in it one day. Happy New Year!

"Lesser" might be a harsh term. I was extremely fortunate to get a "race-spec" (vacuum-bagged Kelvar/epoxy fully-cored) hull when I bought mine. Armadas are all wet layup fiberglass, with cored decks, but solid bottoms. The ones I saw being built did, however, have foam-cored stringers and bulkheads. Armada's second-generation (3-across rear seating) interior is much better that the "playpen" rear seat that I have.

Every time that I think the a/c isn't doing much and turn it off, I find out how much I appreciate it. Not a simple installation, though. A fresh air vent (NACA ducts in the windshield or whatever) would probably be even more efficient at speed, though.

Mine's extremely easy - the tabs are just below the lowest portion of the deck.

Bob - We will be in the water this spring with the 600+ engine.

Part of the ride includes an invitation to the "Rerig the bilge and re-install the engine" party some time in the next few months...
