OT-Looking for used Infiniti QX4?-Anyone in the Biz?
Not boating related sorry guys/gals.
Anyone familiar with Infiniti vehicles? Have a buddy that is a service tech for them and has always had positive things to say about them. Am thinking of a used QX4 (4X4) and have been told to stick with the 2001+ as they have the better 3.5L V-6.
What's the scoop....are they overpriced Nissan Pathfinders or are they worth the extra $$? Reliable? Trouble-spots to look for? Who would be a similarly priced competitor?
I know they don't make them anymore...should I look at a different manufacturer?
Thanks for the help everyone!!!!
Dave

you could buy a 1 or 2 year newer pathfinder for the same kind of money. if you look at the pathfinder make sure it is either an SE or preferrably an LE. The LE is the luxury model.

Awfully soft rear suspension. Won't be towing much with it.
Same cheap screenprinting on the buttons and knobs. Most lose the pictures on the window and door lock switches by 50k miles.
Pre 3.5's are woefully underpowered (unless you don't really care about power).
Gas mileage is worse than you'd expect for a "midsize".
Reliable. Durable. Yes.
They just never did much for me.
Oddly enough, for the same "size" I like the much less expensive Isuzu Trooper (if loaded up).
