Cleveland Boat show

Who's going?

I'm gonna talk the wife into it today, just a hassle that I have to put the dogs in a kennel and get a room for the night.
Planning on being there on Saturday - anybody gonna be there? Drinks at the Roundhouse :D :drink:

We'll be there for sure with Skramer and I know there will be 6-8 others in addition to that on the 15th. We'll get there around noon and spend the entire afternoon/early evening there. The Roundhouse is definately on the agenda :drink:

We'll PM you my cell number if you're interested in meeting up with us.

I worked that show for Cigarette one year back in the '90s. Met the best bunch of people including Terry Sobo when he was with Black Thunder.

I noticed that most of the women had dark hair and eyes. Where were all the blonds?

Is that show still at that big convention center near the airport?

I loved being in Cleveland in the summer! I think the way you light up your bridges at night is cool.
I did some work years ago at a marina that had "Whiskey" in the name of it. Do you know where I mean? Are those three big iron loaders still there?

I don't think PRI will be there since they are not selling boats anymore.

Yea, Whiskey Island. There is still a lot of controversay over that piece of land. It's a shame nothing is happening to it, but hopefully the city and whoever else is involved can come to terms and make it a happening place again.

The bridges are beautiful when you're in the downtown area. It's a great area to live in except the winter!

Sometimes we spend more time at the Roundhouse than we do looking at the boats LOL.

We'll be getting there close to noon. Our first stop is usually the bar to the left once you walk in the door, just to get the day going. After 1 or 2 we start to the left and work our way to the Roundhouse. Stop there for a while then finish the rest of the show and then back to the Roundhouse. We could be there several hours!!!

Our cell number is listed above Just Once and Milord. Please give us a call when you get to the Roundhouse!

Trust us bouy, it will be worth the trip! There's a great group of people up here and we just like to have fun!!!!!!! Did you get your hotel room taken care of?

Re: Cleveland Boat show

Rastinger - don't have a room yet, haven't heard anything back from dreamer, but I pm'ed him this afternoon, so I'll give it another day or two before I make reservations. My dog's already have a room at the kennel, drop 'em off between 7-8:00 then head up. I'm thinking it'll be about 4 hr run, I haven't even done the mapquest thing yet. I was always used to coming out of Toledo, so it was only a 2 hour run.
I haven't been to Cleveland for the past 2 years, but previous to that it was like a pilgramage every year.
We should be there between 12:00 and 1:00, look forward to meeting up with everyone. :D :drink:

Dreamer PM'd me that he is in Miami and will get me some hotel info when he get's back.
Thanks for the help.
Kilroy - If you're unfamiliar with this end of the lake, the Roundhouse is a famous bar on Put-In-Bay, at the Cleveland show they do a "mock-up" of the bar in the corner of the show (as you enter, turn right and keep walking).
