Take a look at the sterling 38.

Its got more beam, and will be more comfortable when the boat is drifting or anchored.
It'll still get you mid 40s-50mph cruise w/ trips.

My dad looked at it and was very impressed w/ the finish on it.
He thought it was much better than concept or donzi.

I hear ya... I've got 6, 4, 1/4. oye...

Maybe get something not so racy, since you've already got that covered.
Something smaller will also get you tubing and skiing. They may be young now, but in 2-3yrs they'll be ready.
