Default Nashville, Tennesse - New Boat Club

Any one in the Middle Tennessee area that's intersted -

There will be a planning "meeting" at Buffalo Wild Wings, near Rivergate Mall in Madison this Tueday Night. It should start about 6:30 or 7:00 in the evening. We're trying to get a powerboat club together and need all the support we can get!

Please join us.

I'm relocating to Nashville this summer, I would very very interested in the club, but I won't be around for a while.

Can anyone help me pick a good Marina in the area? Right now I have a 275 Baja, and I would like to keep it on the Cumberland River. I would like to find a Marina that would suit our boating needs. I'm open to suggestions.

I'd be very interested in getting involved in a power boating club once I get there.

Thanks for any help.

Sundaythunder,
Welcome to Nashvegas. You will like our city. Any town with 2 lakes (Old Hickory and Percy
Preist) and a river (Cumberland) is a great one for boaters. Plus we have 10 more within a 2 hour tow if you get bored here.
Regarding the river, the best Marina is Rock Harbor. But I recommend you consider the many marinas on Old Hickory Lake. You can lock through easily to river (Old Hickory is a Cumberland River impoundment), and the lake is very stable year around. The river can get pretty nasty during the spring.
We've got a great bunch of boaters here, and the new club/organization will only make it better.
Fever Mike, I and many of my friends used to do the picklefork and 100 MPH bassboat thing, and a lot of us have moved to offshores. Most of us still like to run fast, we're just doing it on bigger and better boats now. The lakes here have gotten so busy and rough on the weekends, you need an offshore boat to run comfortably.
Regards,
Steve
