It is to bAd I thought we were being good old boys over there. Nothing out off the wall at all. Just standing firm on our beliefs WITH evidence to back it up. The oposition just acts on what they want with NO proofe. When you do that you get peoples panities in a bunch.

I even emailed Don the Webmaster last night and VERY politely asked just what it was that I did that "crossed the line" I pointed out that posts written back to me were "MUCH more slamming" than anything I had posted in his Forum. Of all the posts that I posted there, no one ever said anything to refute what I had written, they just got bent because I was calling it straight.

Guess "the in crowd" there doesn't like to be made out like a bunch of spoiled arrogant self centered hypocrites. And the more that THEY posted, the worse they made themselves look. "Aubrey", JDeere, and Acres don't have one friggin clue on earth as to what reality is. Realtiy is that other people have the same rights as themselves no matter how much THEY don't like it.

If the go fasts were banned, next it would be the bass boats, then the mid 20's bowrider, then all boats that are powered. If those WEENIES had their way, just like the Save the Manatee Club, everyone would just paddle around in canoes listening to gospel music, VERY QUIETLY.

Don the Webmaster made an inference that I was intimidating people. That was a total crock. They just couldn't back up their stance on the issue with any factual evidence, and they just kept grasping at any straw they could to try to make us look bad and there make us look like we did not know what we were talking about. In the end, quite a few of the longtime Forum members over there ended up defending me.

Guess Don just got tired of me kicking his "good ole boy network's " collective azzes.

And by shutting down the thread was a very direct sign that he knew his side was not going to even present any type of solid difference of opinion, much less win the debate. The ole' "I realize how bad we're losing here so I'll just shut it down, cut my losses, AND RUN".

I got my points in. And I still feel I was extremely respectable and courteous in their Forum. A he!! of a lot more than some of them were to me. Anyone one to guess whether they "got scolded". Right....:rolleyes:

Heres the letter I got from him.. Basicaly what hes saying is if I dont agree with your point of view Im not going to post your message ..Because I never insulted pointed the finger or intimidated anyone ..I guess some folks are intimidated when the get out of bed in the morning and personaly I dont value the opinion of anyone who is intimidated by a discussion that doesnt go thier way ..Its like the little kid that doesnt want to play the game anymore because they are losing ..Winners never quit and quitters never win..

If you are unhappy with the way I manage my forum you are free to find
another one. I make it clear in my policies and in the membership rules that
you agreed to that this is a moderated forum and I will do what is necessary
to control it as I see fit. Of course not everybody agrees with all my
decisions but I've been doing this for 9 years and I just try to do what is
best for this forum.

Out of over 1100 members only 8 are moderated and you are one of them.
Everyone else's posts appear immediately.

I felt it necessary to moderate your posts because of your disturbing
tendency to insult and put down people who have a different opinion than
you. I also don't appreciate your sarcastic, one-line, Chat Room like
comments. Please have something to contribute when you post. I will consider
removing the restrictions if you will stop attacking and respond in a more
respectful way. It is possible to disagree without being disagreeable.

Regarding the speed limit thread, my only mistake was allowing it to go so
long. That thread was completely skewed by bully tactics. Several forum
regulars contacted me to say that they had opinions too but were too
intimidated to participate. When FormulaOutlaw put us on notice that he
would be there to "straighten out" anyone who dared to disagree with him I
really had enough and he joined you on the moderation list. It is really
disturbing to think that any time controversial issues like noise, wakes,
speed limits, pollution, noise, etc. come up that he (or you) will pounce on
anyone who has concerns. I closed the thread because the issue was settled
by the hearing and it was clear to me that there were no more productive
comments being posted.

Although I understand the purpose of the OSO forum my forum is very
different. People of many views visit and I will do everything possible to
make sure that all opinions are heard and no one bullies, intimidates or
insults anyone else. Fortunately the vast majority of members show respect
and courtesy to everyone else and I don't have to worry about them.

I hope you will choose to stay and play within my rules and guidelines. I've
read every post you've ever made and I know you have much to contribute.
Your opinions are welcome as are those of people who may not agree with you.
All I'm trying to do is keep it fair and balanced (stolen from FNN).

Since it looks like that site is run and moderated by biased individuals ..I would encourage the open minded folks here at OSO to join in thier forums..To have constructive yet highly moderated babble with the greenie nincompoops :D

Ive been on that site for years .. Hes a joke ..god forbid you disagree with someones point of view.. Its my perogative to speak my mind ..I feel sorry for those that are intimidated by the facts , and only choose there narrow mindedness as truth ..
