You will probably need to build a raised hatch. My factory hatch also has pans underneath for additional clearance, with no scoops to clutter the sun pad. I can send you detailed pics if you need them or I'll be in Destin for 4th July weekend. Come on by at Crab Island and check it out. I'm surprised at your low RPM performance with 3-blades turning inward. Sounds like its got plenty of potential. The paint looks great.:drink: |

Thanks. No, purchased it with the 1000 Chiefs and # 6's. Boat was rigged by TNT. I don't make a habit of it, but mine will launch on plane with zero slip if I wish. I have actually raised the drives (spacers) since purchasing and it still gets up effortlessly. I think the 6's are designed to trim under (in) a lot more than V's, which allows for a high "x" dimension with less slip. I am also running 17.5x29 and/or 17x32 four blade props. Four blades with at least 16.5 diameter should help out your plane time. |
Re: My winter project: CIGARETTE
So, If I go looking for some 4 blade should i go up a pitch or two
|
Re: My winter project: CIGARETTE
No, do not go up in pitch. If you feel your present 3-blade pitch is accurate, then you will need the same pitch or more likely 1-2 inches less. The 4-blade will be more efficient across the RPM band, thereby requiring less pitch to produce the same RPM.
What size are your present props and WOT RPM? |
