Re: 21 shadow info, please help
Image Boat Co. out of Lake Hopatcong, NJ built a 21' Shadow outboard with a narrow 7' 7" beam in the 1980s. Their MIC was KRG. If your boats' HIN starts with anything else, just post it and I'll try to get the correct info for you.

INFO on Shadow Boats
I saw your post and realize that it was three years ago, but if you are still looking for info on Shadow boats, my father was the GM of Image Boat Company for most of the '80s. He could probably answer any question you might have. I came across your post as I am trying to find a 21ft Shadow that I can buy him for a retirement present. let me know! [email protected]

dude that is a hell of arunner. i had one with a 280 2.5 merc with a 15" mid section, which i rerigged to a center steer. the boat routinely ran jones inlet here on the island. was also set up with 24 volt trim which made for an entirely new experience of triming while accelerating and turning.
good luck with your piece, and send me an email if you want to sell it.

1978 Shadow
Hello all and thank you for reading this. This week I inherited a boat that I know very little about. I was given a 21 foot Team Shadow. I've google'd the heck out of it, and tried every combination of search terms possible. I've also read most of the posts here and on another powerboat forum. Still, I'm left starved for information about the boat. Other than the posts I've found, I can't locate anything. Seems that I'm always reading about boats "based on" the shadow design, but never on my particular boat. Any links or suggestions anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Just so we're all on the same page, I have a 21 foot Team Shadow w/ 200 Mercury. Boat and Motor are both 1988. The powerhead was replaced about a year ago and has less than 100 hours on it. Boat also has a jack plate, custom "chopper" prop, and hot foot throttle. Thanks again for reading this.

Geaorge Linder designed the 21 Challenger and the 21 Shadow...They have different hulls and decks... We built some of the original Challengers after George closed up in LI and all of the Shadows until 1983...... .
The others are knockoffs of one or the other........
