I have a 1980 24 ft. Jaws Super Sport, boat weighs 5,000 and rides great in the ruff stuff. Over the years I have redone the boat with new paint, interior, new dash and gauges. The boat is in great shape for 30 years old and have redone the engine, 351-W with Twin Turbo's, engine is basically stock with a beefed up lower and stock cam. It is Old School, just like an old Hot Rod, the out drive is a Volve Penta 280 Drive. I have never had to do anything to the drive and take it easy out of the hole and don't beat it in the rough stuff. Boat runs in the 50's which is good enough, great on gas and gets me from point A to point B. I am very happy with the boat and if you look at an Activator, they look very similar. If you go to "Boating by Region" on the Forum and click onto "Boating in Canada and the Great Lakes" and scroll down to "Motor City Fun Run" and then go to page 6 and post #53 and #58. My Jaws Super Sport is Blue, Yellow and Green. Love the boat and at almost 30 years old in a month and a half should tell you something about the boat.

I remember a test on one back in the 80's think it was in HotBoat Mag. Think it did ok in the test - had a terrible paint job with shark teeth on the bow. Anyone from Spring Lake, Mi - think there used to be one on a trailer at a marine place on the s side of 104 as you come into town heading west - whatever that first bay is there.
