Anyone know the first year that the 496 Mag Ho - 425hp was released?

Didn't the HO have a problem with the first model year and only models in a certain serial number range? You might want to search the forums, I know there is something around about it. Maybe I'm wrong and my brain is frozen from this dammed SNOW!!! It's just no dammed good!!!
