Sorry about OT. . Need ISP Search Information
 

I keep getting spam email from EBay from somebody using my email account with their account on Ebay. I notified them of this once and was told that it was spoof emails. Well its not. It stopped for a while and now I am getting them again. One of the emails that I got was for a change of email address notification. It included a ISP for where the request was made from. I need help in locating where/who the ISP belongs to.

ISP is 24.44.246.126

If anybody can help me find out who this a$$hole is so I can stop it I will greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much and sorry about the OT....

Well. At least I know its not somebody I know then. :D Now if EBay would only get off their useless a$$ and put a stop to it. Told them about this last time and thay said they were "spoof" emails. Not coming from ebay. Yeah right.

I'm worse than that. I'm an ex-police officer from the Pittsburgh area. :D Still know all the old tricks. Not bound by departmental policies...:D:D Besides, still have my contacts when I need them.

Cant say its an ex. Never dated anybody from New York. What ticked me off is that I had to register an account on Ebay just to tell them about the problem. You can not contact their customer support or security center without having an account. Thats how I confirmed that this person set up a ebay account using one of my email accounts. I might have to just eliminate the addy.

I got a buddy that tracks OAL guys. He can fallow anyone around. It is real scarry!!!

Just a FYI if you are going to fire off emails. What hackers often times do is hack a persons ISP and send the email off from there, so you can trace back to a person that has no idea that their ISP sent the bulk emails. It sucks really. If you are really good at it you can trace through the blocks that they put up but often times it will dead end in another country....... Like I said good guys are SCARRY!!!!

Oh it continues. I still havent heard back from Ebay. Even sent them another email. I did contact Verizon technical help and security to notify them of the problem. I wanted to guarantee that nobody else was given the email address. When checked by technical support, it only comes back to my account. But here is the kicker. It appears that a email was generated, from my allias account and sent out. But I got a copy of it cc'd to my inbox. Whats even better is that it has phone numbers for the purchasers of the item, address, names and another email account listed. I am going to be patient to see what Verizon and Ebay can come up with before I decide to raise hell myself. :D

Question 1, are they that dumb to use somebody elses email account then put their own info in it?

Question 2, are they bouncing around several people and the info I have somebody innocent? IE is this a ghost chase?

This is the whole email copy and pasted on here.... Been talking to a buddy of mine who does computer programming and design. He's thinking its a problem where somebody has hacked my email account and is using it to make purchases and so forth. Its possible that there is a sniffer, Key Logger, virus on this comp and they are reading what gets typed. But if you are gonna use somebody else's email account, dont you think you would erase the emails?? They could be using a stolen credit card or somebody elses bank account for money to make the purchases. Then turn around and sell them for cash. Pure profit. I still havent heard back from Ebay or Verizon Security Center. Waiting to hear from them before I start to contact authorities on this issue. Dont want to call or send emails to the information listed cause I dont want to tip them off just yet. Bastages I tell ya!

This makes sense if Blaster50 is from another country and is bouncing their tracks off of the person in New York. Notice how there are three different phone numbers listed for them. They could either be a front or unsuspecting people involved in this. But the email definately seems to be sent by Blaster50 or somebody related to it.

Yeah but none of those names match the ones on the email. Or the exact address. But I am sure they are all from the same area. Chris has McAfee. But I am running AVG currently. And guess what. So far its found two viruses. Both Trojan Horse type.

Well. AVG found 7 trojan horse viruses. Scanning again just to be safe.

got most of them cleared out. There is one left. Its the queen one thats hiding. Automatically infests the comp at startup. On phone with my buddy to search and destroy it. :D Plus, Chris had about 30 programs starting up at start up on the computer. No wonder its been slow. Sheesh. Cleared some of them up.

Spybot and McAfee run at all times. Appearantly they are not that good.

Parents had same virus on their comp along with 151 others when my buddy cleared them all out. He's lookin to see how to find and destroy this last one. It ghosts itself to all search features.

Yeah, Wilkinsburg has had its up and down times. Was getting better when I got hired on. You still had the nightly shots being fired. Then it got quiet to where you would go weeks without shots. But, when I left, it was poised to take another nosedive.
