Miami Boat show?

OK - Fill me in on the details for Miami.
I ran into a good deal on flights and would love to get out of this cold and snow for a few days.
What are the dates?

From 4th to 12th st.
can I get away without having to rent a car?
This trip really wasn't in the budget this year - but I want to do it :D
I can afford the car if I need it, but hell, I didn't even rent scooters in KW for the races - rather spend the money I have available on food and DRINK :drink: :drink:

not if you stay in south beach or Collins up to about 24 st walk or take taxi. You are going to pay a bundle to stay on the beach. what day are you going i maybe able to help.

The brokerage show is on Collins Ave. Has cruisers from 35' up to 150', along with several cool displays of huge diesel engines and turbine mfgs. Cost is free for that show.

MBS has boats in the water on Biscayne bay behind the Marriott. Also the main structure at the Convention Center. Both of those cost money to attend (well, not sure about the inwater part - you may not need a ticket for that). Shuttle service runs down collins avenue back and forth to the convention center, marriott on the bay, and satellite parking. I believe the shuttles are free with a show ticket, but not sure.

As was said, you don't need a car if yu can find a room around collins or near the marriott.

Don't forget properties on Collins such as the Fairfield Inn or stuff like that. They often have a spare room or two. Prices will be "higher than normal".
