Yes, I think it was Team USA.
In April of 1990 it ran in the Long Beach, CA race. I think they took third because of a blown driveshaft or something. Chuck Norris driving the old Popeyes cat won with Bob Idoni on the sticks. John Gehret in the original INXS, (47' Apache), took second with me throttling. Hard to believe that was so long ago.

i tpo saw it last year, and i would agree , rough and stripped would describe it. i posted last yearif anybody had any info. glad to see someone is saving this old race boat.

That boat is in Austin, TX and owned by Rick George, a friend of mine. I saw it as his place just last week.
Rick's boat is either the depicted boat or is its twin sister.
