Engine Shop in S. Florida

I am a recent transplant to SW Florida and plan to have my carburated Merc 454 mags rebuilt over the summer. I'm looking for recommendations of a good local engine shop that's reliable, reasonable, and won't mind working on a stock 454. In my last boat, I had two grenades. One more and my wife will probably put an end to my boating days. I'm in the Naples area, but willing to go to Ft. Myers or even Miami / Ft. Lauderdale for the right shop.

Thanks,

Dawezel

Try to find Rick Joslin at Expert Engine in the Ft. Myers area.
When I find his info, I'll post again.

If Roger Munn is still building motors over there, he is the guy, if not, it will pay to trailer over to Mesa

I would take the time to give Las Mesa a call to see if he can help you out.

We'd be happy to help. We will be in Miami for the show, and could arrange to transport the boat or engines for you. Feel free to call me if we can help you in any way.

Thanks,

Steve

OKay, Okay. I'll give Chief a call. Not sure how much Chief I can afford, but their reputation is outstanding and sometimes it's cheaper to spend a few extra $$ up front. I don't need too much HP. My 28 Saber runs great with twin stock 454s.
