8' GW Invader w/25 hp Merc.

Had to lean forward to get up on plane, but once going it was a blast! Bottom was rounded and smooooooooth. No strakes, chines, nothing to get a grip of the water. Just slid when turning.

My first boat was an 18' SeaRay SRX Pachanga. Bought it new back in May 1971.

It was stolen out of storage. All I have left is memories and photos.

When i was 12 i had an 8 1/2 foot inflatable Zodiak with 15hp Johnson but with a 9.9 lid cause that was the max HP rating on the capacity plate. ran close to 30mph.

11' wooden skiff. Was 12' when given to me but had no transom. Replaced the transom and cut the rest off. Clamped on a used 7.5hp Sears outboard. Caught a lot of fish in that .

Had a 6' dingy from a sail boat, reinforced the transom and put a 15hp outboard on it.
