Sunsation Powerboats Achieves
Mercury Installation Quality Certification MerCruiser is pleased to announce that Sunsation Powerboats has successfully completed the new Mercury Marine propulsion-installation certification program, which partners boatbuilders with MerCruiser to improve product quality and enhance consumer satisfaction. As a result of achieving the Installation Quality Certified Manufacturer status, all MerCruiser-powered Sunsation Powerboats will come standard with a two-year Mercury limited engine warranty *. All MerCruiser engines registered on or after Sunsation Powerboats’s certification date of February 4, 2005, will automatically receive two years of factory warranty. The Installation Quality Certification Program is the boating industry’s first and only comprehensive manufacturer-installation certification system. Working together with Sunsation Powerboats and their installers, Mercury engineers assist in the implementation of lean thinking for manufacturing efficiency and world-class process control. The rigorous certification program was designed to review the manufacturing and installation processes, and to identify opportunities to implement Lean Six Sigma processes and training programs. Key areas of focus include assembly and component specifications, propulsion-installation processes and industry-standard end-of-line test procedures. Together, Sunsation Powerboats and Mercury are setting new industry standards to ensure that your customers are getting the highest-quality products possible so their boating experience will be the best it can possibly be. You will see our commitment to quality every time a satisfied customer leaves your dealership. For more information, go to mercurymarine.com/mercruiser_warranty. |

Re: Sunsation Earns Merc Certification
Congrats, I take it "Mercruiser Engines" don't include the "Mercury Racing" engines in the 2 year warranty. So if there black its 2 years, if there blue its still 1 year.

I thought 500, 575sci, 525, all came with 1 year. Not sure on new 600. And I thought it was just the 900SC and 1075 that were 90 days. |
