Please help pick my interior!!
3 Attachment(s)
I have been trying to pick my interior colors and fabric for 2 weeks. I have changed my mind 20 times. Now I'm so confused and sick of thinking about it I don't know what to do. The Interior guy needs to order the material by Monday or Tuesday. Pic 1. Here is what the old interior looked like. Pic 2. New dash.
I can go with any 2 or 3 of the materials below. My origioal thought was the purple and yellow carbon w siver accents. Then I went to All purple and silver. Then I though a mix of the purple seude and yellow carbon. Now I'm thinging about saying screw it and put 2 folding lawn chairs in the boat and going boating. Please let me know what you think. (the dash is purple not blue as it appears). |

Re: Please help pick my interior!!
Bare in mind that "any" colored vinyl is going to be hot, but since you had the yellow in there to begin with, you already know that. "MY" choice would be yellow with silver seating surface and purple trim, unless you want to draw more purple in the cockpit, then purple with silver seating and yellow trim. However, if it was "my" boat, I would be looking at some sort of very light grey for the seating surface. Just my $0.02 worth, which that and a $1.25 will get you a cup of coffee. Enjoy the proccess of creating "YOUR" boat the way that you want to.

Re: Please help pick my interior!!
I have to go with Robert on this one. Silver on the seats with purple trim would be great. Cooler on the seats and besides, you already have some purple in the dash. Perhaps you could have some sort of design in the seats in the yellow. Good luck!

Re: Please help pick my interior!!
go with mainly white , with the purple and yellow in the centers. if wanting to add grey then use it in the piping around the edges and between colors. trust me this will make it look badas? and clean. also add some of the colors in the side panels.

The silver is not any cooler than the purple, I have experienced this first hand. The new carbon materials look really cool. Im slightly partial to purple   I like carbon purple with silver accents and then yellow embriodered name on seats.

He is right, Jassman yours looks beautiful!!! The others I have seen just never look nice. They look gaudy. Yours is really nice. I may go with 95% Carbon purple and 5% silver as some how suggested. |

Here are a few more shots. My next Nortech will also be the new carbon purple, carbon silver with carbon grafite accents and just red Nortech logos on just the seats. Simple paint scheme with purple, silver accents, grey accents, a touch of red and black shadowing. This is suppose to be fun, good luck with it. Jeff

Re: Please help pick my interior!!
I like the silver in this last pick Too Old Posted. But then again I love Jassman's interior too. Just makes me wonder if it would look that great if someone other than Nortech did it.
Too Old, who makes that steering wheel? |

I'd do a lot of silver with colored accents. But then again......what the hell do I know??? :D |

Re: Please help pick my interior!!
keep in mind Brad's got white side panels and seperate seats. I think that the deep color is not much of an overkill when using it just on the seats. If you go with matching side panels, the full interior as well as the instrumental panel it will be a lot of color. I am not sure if you are interested in resale, but going with to much of a dark color could effect it

I agree about the solid color combo. Mine had purple side panels with no carpet. I had the panels made in white to to liven it up some.

I think swapping the blue to purple would look awesome. I like the yellow piping. |
Re: Please help pick my interior!!
Brad that is some awesome looking boat you have, what part of IL are you from, if you are near Chicago do you do any COPS runs.
Since you like Cats do you know about the Lake MI party we are having that includes a tour of the Skater Plant, a ton of Chicagoland boaters will be there. |
Re: Please help pick my interior!!
Lube, did you pick your colors yet???? Post some picture of the hull

Re: Please help pick my interior!!
We live in the NW suburbs of Chicago. That action shot was from a Poker Run on Lake Michigan. We boat a lot on the Chain-of-Lakes in Illinois. I do want to get to some COPS events. Everytime I go to Lake Michigan it is so boring with no where to stop and very few boats to play with. Events are much more fun. Gino's boat is somewhat pictured in his first post. It has a lot of purple and yellow. Very nice.

Re: Please help pick my interior!!
so what color did you go with?
|
Re: Please help pick my interior!!
I want to thank everyone for their advice. When it comes to picking colors, I am the worst. I had my neihbors pick the color for my house when I built it. I decided to go with The new Donzi style interior. The seats are going to be the Darker purple and the Carbor fiber silver with my Oil Can Man logo and embroidered on the headrests in yellow and some other yellow accents. I am glad I decided not to go with primarily yellow. I will post pictures as soon as it's done.
