Default Peragon truck bed covers ????

Anybody have one or sell them ? I got a new F150 and want to put a roll top cover on and they seem to be the best and they come off easy.

http://www.peragon.com/

Or this one but it has the big can that mounts in the truck and I will need the room from time to time.http://www.truckaddons.com/Catalog/s...&GTKW=pace+edw

Or if anybody knows of a better one, I had the Extang on the F 350 and it was fine above 70 outside but when it cooled down it was a pain in the butt to put on.

This is what I use.
Roll-n-lock

It has a small box that does not take up that much room. I like the flat look of the top plus it is a lot more durable than I thought it would be. The box does not go all the way to the bottom of the bed so you can still haul 8x4 sheets.

The flat look

Hey Scott, how long have you had that cover? Has it held up well? What about snow? Is it watertight? I have an Access on my Ford dually, which like but the down sides are its not watertight, ant it doesn't fit as well as I'd like because of the plastic on the bed rails.

This is the one that I have been looking into. Weighs only 58 pounds, is weather tight, and can be easily removed if needed. Even comes with hardware that allows you to store away the top on the side of your garage wall when you are not using it. http://www.undercoverinfo.com/cust_pics.html

I've had it for one year and yes it is water tight I have VCR's, Computers and all kinds of electronic crap under there. I had to add a tailgate gasket to seal it off and the water runs into the Roll box and drains out through tubes that exit to the outside of the bed between the cab and bed.
I bought it from the Truck Shop over at Reynolds and Airport highway around $800.00 installed. I'll be over Smitty's tonight for the game if you want to see it.

That style has it's place but limits your hauling capabilities. With the other styles you don't have to take them off to use your bed.

One other thing to add about all of the covers is to do yourself a favor and add the electric tailgate lock into your door lock or remote Lock/unlock circuit.

Yes I need a roll up one, I would bet that only 30% of the time I put something in my bed I knew I was going to and would take a one peice flat one off at home, What if I am 1000 miles away and buy a bike, do I just leave the cover ?

I looked at the Roll n Lock ones too, if you put the front wheel of a bike against it and tied it down to it is it strong enough to not bend ? That is what scares me about the one in the can in the front. I have the supercrew with that short bed so I can't cheat it back any. I think I will need one that I can remove from the front of the bed, one that does it easy and fast.

I have wedged a lot of stuff against it and under it (box) I will have to take a close look and check it out but my first guess is that it would not be a problem it seems the whole unit is quite strong. I think the closed top itself can hold quite a bit of weight so the whole thing rolled into the box should handle a front tire forced up against it.
One other feature that I like and have actually used is the ratchet type stops so if you have a large item you can still keep part of the bed covered.

Oh well enough of this, good luck with your choice.
