OSS-Cat = Rhesus monkeys?

Let me start by saying I love to open Pandora's box...as long as Pandora is a swimsuit model! :p

I am considering starting an OSS Cat team with a rhesus monkey as a driver. My question is , how do you folks feel about this? Let me explain that he, the monkey, whose name is Ace, has three years experience in Outlaw class 48 where he raced unnoticed in a triple engined Fountain called "Bananas in my Dreams". He won three SBI National and World championships...uncontested......during that time...although he has yet to complete more than one lap in an event.

His new throttleman , Lance Wannabe, a well known champion with almost 4 weeks of experience, said, after testing with Ace: "He makes more sense than anyone else I ever drove with"....and then was reminded that the monkey had chewed through his headset wires before the test session.

I am also reminded of Steve David's quote that "A monkey could have driven and won with the Bud for the past decade"

Please feel free to air your opinions on this hot topic. In the meantime I'm off to Chiquita Banana's headquarters to inquire about sponsorship.

T2x.................. I love marketing majors, political correctness and Corporate America

Is'nt it the Chinese year of the monkey? Your team could end up being the top bananas again. Hope your able to find a few sponsors to SPLIT the bill.

Sounds like your monkey is over qualified for the position. He should probably stick with driving unlimited hydroplanes. :evilb:

Nah, since it's just a monkey, perhaps T2X will put him in a west coast cat. :D :D

How come every time someone makes takes a stab at this they make OSS stand out as a joke??? Why not use APBA or SBI as a joke??? I know this is supposed to be a joke and what not but why the constant persecution of OSS????

Knuckle heads....... This isn't about OSS or Skater Boy... it's about the post yesterday where a guy was asking about women drivers in Super Cat

Apparently that post was deleted...... in that context this post was definitely funnier. But I still think it's worth a chuckle.

Okay....it goes like this

For each lap completed he gets a banana....and the throttleman gets a whiff of nitrous oxide..... I figure this will put them on par with Jason Priestly. So they will quickly achieve "celebrity" status.

The cost of this must be factored in with the smaller "incidentals" like hull, engines, trailer, hotels, fuel, rigging, Corona, air fare, tee shirts, Corona, custom paint, team hats, Corona, and........ Corona.

Sponsoring this team will get you top billing........... Before the accident.

By the way...don't encourage me

The last time I got on a weird topic like this it ended with the Oklahoma National Guard attempting to invade Quebec because they were trying to recruit an amazing giant Frog for the OU football team.

T2x........................ I have no control over anything I say.

Richard,

Please come inside now, it's getting chilly, and your friends miss you in the TV room..................... :)

Hope you're well mi amigo. Shame about Gary G. He was on the golf course, playing a round with his doctor no less, when the heart attack hit. Amy, Bart and Alan have a large void to fill.

Best to Darren (the saner of you two...........)

How many times have I told you to wear your tuque...
That shinny melon of yours gets all messed up when the days are warm and the nights are under freezing... also remember when the weather is like that to tap that shinny round bad boy... the maple syrup that came out of it last year was delicious.

I represent Ham, the space chimp. When he was shot into space on the end of an Agena rocket with a guy from New Jersey, he steered the capsule into orbit, and then thru reentry. At the end of the third orbit, a sign lit up in front of the Joisy guy that said "Feed the monkey". He sometimes goes to the races and disguises himself wth a wig, dark glasses, and a gold paperweight. You may have seen him.......

Well if it isn't good ol' "Monkey see , Monkey do"..... :D

Regards right back at ya............ But!!!!! How in the world can a guy who straps himself into an Unlimited Hydroplane.....and on his off days referees Offshore races (now, there's a popular pastime)....have the gall to talk about my sanity? I'll be fine as soon as the nice lady gets the scorpions off the ceiling......

On a serious note....God Speed to Gary and God Bless his family.

Rich,

I think you may still be suffering, or enjoying, I am not sure which, the effects of nitrogen narcosus from your last scuba diving trip. Or did Doreen put helium in your tank? Oh, btw, Darren is DEFINITLEY the more of sane of you two. Pretty soon I bet we will see George Lindner pushing you around in a wheel chair while you are wearinf a straight jacket uttering what appears to be quotes from Rainman. :p :D
