Superboat and Kryptonite would probably run very well with a 496 as well.

doesnt Velocity VR-1 have the current Kilo record........cant see anything changing with a 496..............doug

Thanks for the compliment. I think some parameters need to be set to determine the fastest. Are we talking flat out drag on flat water? mixed conditions? big water? Length? weight?

VR1 and it has a 8foot + beam with a cabin you can use :D

Here's a few. Merc specs say that the 496 is only 1 inch taller than the old motors, it's more like 3". I'm having hatch clearance issues. I JUST made the forward clearance too. :eek:

82 is screaming! I'm thinking I'm gonna have about 78.

82? Seems a lot L, I've had waterheater's rig up to 72 mph and I unerstand he does not have an HO but a 10 mph gain with 50 hp?
