As soon as I saw this thread I knew what was going to happen! You guys are the funniest guys and I can't wait to meet you in person Thursday night at the Clevelander.

When the drives are down aren't they under the swim platform?

Reggie adding that beak and counting the swim platform BEFORE it was mandated in 1991 was one of the best marketing tools in the boat business. I sold new Fountains before the steps were added and they were 8-10 MPH faster than the competition with equal power BACK THEN!

inside rub rail to inside rub rail... drives only count if you are going to dry store it

...and, 42-40 = 2 feet. That part removed aint even close to 2 feet! Looks to be closer to 6-8 inches

Yep but thats what it took to make it a 40 for the race.
