Vinyl repair
During the removal of the engine hatch during the exhaust swapover, despite being careful with moving blankets, etc. I got a very small gouge in the white vinyl alongside the upper gunwale.
I've read/heard about some type of vinyl repair material (liquid????) that you can fill a small gouge with. Anybody know anything about this??? Thanks. |

If you go to any used car joint they should be able to give you the name of their vinyl repair guy-they can do amazing stuff.

Re: Vinyl repair
I had pretty good results with some stuff I got at Murrays Auto Parts. It's liquid and you cure it by applying heat. White came in the kit along with some other colors, and you mixed the colors if you needed something else.
They give you a little iron that you're supposed to heat up and then touch on the repair but I found that a regular trouble light generated enough heat to cure the repair without burning the surrounding area. |
