The JD Power Award for Customer Satisfaction

The results of the J.D. Power and Associates 2005 Boat Competitive Information Study SM were just released at the Miami International Boat Show. The study measures customer satisfaction among owners who have purchased a new boat across seven boat segments and some 70 boat brands.

We are happy to announce that a number of the winners have their products featured on BoatTEST and we would like to congratulate them. The winners are:

Express Cruisers: Sea Ray (Formula finished a close second)
Pontoon Boats: Benningon Marine
Large Runabouts 20-29 feet: Cobalt
This is the 4th time Cobalt has won the award, and the third time for Sea Ray and Bennington.

For outboard engines, Suzuki and Honda tied for first place. BoatTEST has just finished taping a whole new series of engine videos for Honda with Robin Senger, Honda's own Outboard Professor, and will be testing many new Honda-powered boats in the next few weeks. We'll keep you posted as the videos and tests go live in this newsletter.
