it is only $1,000 on the D-Max and $3,000 on the gassers I was told because I am looking for a new one also. I have driven and towed with Chevy's D-Max, the Ford PowerSmoke, and the Dodge Cummings. By far the D-Max is the nicest with the Allison!!!!! The 04' D-Max was down on power because of fuel injectors to fix the leaking problem. The new 05' has the same ones as 03's but with a new sealing design. I have the 8100 motor/Allison and it is just plain awesome but only 10-11mpg.....

I was fortunate to get $6K off the sticker and 0.0% back in 2002 when I bought the Avalanche; with a trade. Good luck Craig. The guy I bought mine from is no longer in the car business, but Kevin can take good care of you.

It has the new 600 with the automatic. I juiced the engine with the Banks kit and put a new ATS torque converter wth the trans command in the tranny. For a dually it can get out of it's own way quick!

I'm signing the paperwork today on (2) GMC Safari van's for our service vehicles at work. I have the dealership doing the math for me to see if the 0% or cash back is the way to go. I think the new car rates at my bank were pretty low, so I'll probably go with the cash back and finance at my bank.

Mine's Victory Red. My doc buddy got the Sport Red Metallic. They are both nice...I just saw the Victory as a little easier to keep (not so dark, but his matched the stripes on his 5'er), more impact, a better match for my boat/trailer, and I hadn't had any sort of red one since '89.

There is a $1000 in bonus cash (on top of your reg. card earnings) + 0% 60 mos. if you have a GM card, 'till the 31st of March.

If your buying clean, you should be buying at invoice + marketing, or "supplier" with no marketing fees. Damn close to the same $. There's about $1500 in holdback $ for the dealer in a truck that MSRP's 42K, regardless of what you buy it for.

I'm not blowing anybody's doors in here, this is all common knowledge, and I trust this OSO member is treating you accordingly. ;)

I bought at invoice...when I complained about the marketing/adv. fees my sales manager (my nieghbor) split them with me, which put me just under supplier price if I remember correctly.

I really didn't want to stand any harder and make him eat the whole shot out of his holdback. I wanted discount pricing at the parts counter for anything I might want for the truck or anything else, and good service. I got everything I wanted!

I have no idea what you've said...but I'm going to ask Kevin to read your post before I sign. I'll probably finance 30K for a $500 monthly payment and write a check for the rest. MSRP for the truck is 46,800 and I think it will be around 40K when all is said and done. A fellow oso and CBPBA members wife works for gmac and she emailed me a coupon that gets me additional $$ off. It's called the "GM in the driveway" program or something like that.

the "in the driveway cert" is good for supplier pricing.

supplier pricing though higher than "invoice" does not pay any per vehicle marketing/advertising charges. These are charges levied against the dealer by GM on every vehicle. If they sell you at "invoice, they usually want the charges back from you.

Does anyone have any idea what trailer hitch comes on these? I'm wondering if I'll have to buy a new one to be able to tow what the truck is rated for? I think that I'll have to put a controller in it as well for my trailer brakes.

If your buyng the HD is should all be on it, I didnt have to put one on mine and it tows fine, usually its a rigid hitch and reciever and should have a 6or 7 plug adapter, and the adapters are available anywhere, I think Russ (furmula outlaw) is running a special on them...J/K Russ...Rob

Craig, it comes with a Class III hitch. It is rated to tow the max weight of the truck with a Weight Distribution hitch. (see the other current thread)

Easy way to go is install a Putnam Hitch. (Or Reese Titan V, but they are more expensive.) They are rated for 12K+ Weight CARRYING. However, no one has ever been able to answer the question as to whether upgrading your hitch to be able to carry your truck's maximum capacity as a weight carrying hitch, makes you legal to tow that weight without using a weight distribution hitch. Its a grey area.

I know Kevin will install it for you. I bought my Putnam Hitch receiver online for less than $300. There are also 2 places in Manassas I can recommend to install it if you like as well.

I also agree with Rich. Are you sure you want red? What happens when your Top Gun is NOT red? Personally, I will only own white or black. You have to admit, having a white 2500HD, and having some vinyl made up to match Old School would look AWESOME.

You will also probably want to install 265 or 285 series tires. The 245s that come on it are TINY and look terrible. I would also recommend the Diablo Predator Power Tuner to change your speedometer (for the new tires), and its a very cool tool to have for your truck. Mark House and company can get them for you; including a bed cover too. Adding a billet grill and bowtie dramatically changes the front of the truck for the better, and is not expensive. I also recommend Catch-All moulded and carpet matched floormats and rear air-bags.

I agree with Brian on the floor mats, Nifty makes them too my cost on them is 52.99 for the front set. I can also get you the Putco grill. Hypertech ahs the New HYPERpac, its a new compthat has 5 different programs and like i said I'll do the clear bra and headlight protection for you, no ugly bug defectors anymore.

I never said anything bad about fords, I love the 7.3 power stroke, they should have stayed with it, the 6.0 was dumping fuel in the crankcase and wasnt thought out properly, so of course ford had to take credit for it. However where in years past no one had a motor to match the 7.3, duramax and cummings have stepped up to the plate. Duramax being the better one out there.
