Yep, I saw a shirt that had its new name and placement on it, up in the Panhandle near Panama City, FL.

Lake X is shutting down is my last understanding, when I don't know. Wannabe |
Re: Location Question
The OLD Lake X shutdown. They lost the lease on the place. They have since moved to their new location, called Project X, or something like that in NW FL.

I used to live in Panama City, it's a great place, probably my favorite place in the world.

That's Cuda Joe. He's here all night. Be sure to tip your bartenders and waitresses ;) |
Re: Location Question
Lake X is near Orlando/Kissimmee/St Cloud. Merc is trying to move up on the Blackwater River near Destin/Ft Walton/Niceville in what's left of the Panhandle of Florida. THey've gotten some pushback from the tree-huggers and river-rats that has delayed permitting for test facility. The hurricanes didn't help either. THat area was devastated--and forgotten. It's a damned shame that all that money went to sumnami victims when some working stiffs in USA got f'd without even getting kissed.
If you want to see devastation check out the Pensacola News Journal online. THey have pictures of the marinas that were totalled, dry storage buildings that collapsed crushing 300 boats etc etc etc. My old house and my folks house had 5' of water and sewage in it after last storm. The 2 story addition on our beach house disappeared. THankfully we had sold all that stuff before the storms. |
Re: Location Question
Thanks everyone Sean appreciates it ;)
