I heard the cold water thing too, JO.
All I know is that you really have to be a hardcore boating freak to keep launching into that Beyotch Lake Erie year after year.
There is an element of beating your head against the wall when you wait 9 months to go back and get your butt kicked for 2 or 3 months and then wait anxiously 9 more months to go back for another beating.
While making payments all year.
Yeah... count me in!!
When she's being nice, she's really nice.
Come on spring.

Come hell or high water, we still go. If I could use some discretion my boat wouldn't be broken now from rough water in Erie.

Here is a shot from two years ago at the Grand Haven Silver Cup Series boat races. This was from hitting a wake and not another boat.

I was in that boat!!!! Worst water I've ever been in. We were coming back in and almost landed on top of a coast guard zoidac that was in between the swells. If I recall correctly 2 hours after they cancelled that race it was a sheet of glass!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking that with less density, fresh water can get more sloppy than salt water. Additionally, I have wondered about the perceived impact ( given identical landings ) of a hull in fresh vs salt water.
Do they "feel" the same ?
