Some people have no respect . And just think if he parked beside you on the outside he would walk across your boat to get to the dock  |

Re: Fl. Poker run Pics.
I was wondering where Brandon was. That old Alcone Skater (Mad Max) is one bad machine. It looks fantastic for a 1997 former race boat. What's up with XXX being on the trailer by Day 2?

In my drunken state Friday night I talked with Mike F about XXX. I "think" something went wrong with the computer on one of his 1075's. Don't quote me, because that night was a blur. :D |

No, as he is about to step on my boat he would somehow become entangled with rope and "accidently" fall into the water. |

In post #16 (getreals #14) the bottom picture!! Is that guy wearing workboats on the back of that boat!!! One foot is even on the painted back deck!!! If that was my boat he would be wearing concrete boots in the ocean right now!! The guy with the boots is actually the owner of the boat and has a bad ankle, those are the only things that don't hurt him when he is running the boat. He gets his balls busted all the time about it. It is the old Animal House refitted with t55 1350hp turbines and its going back in for new 1600 hp turbines. i was fortunate to take a ride on that boat at the Miami Boat Show. |
Re: Fl. Poker run Pics.
I promise myself that next year I will do that run in a serious piece of machinery. I have wanted to do that run for a long time, but since it is always the week after Miami it just makes it too long to stay away from the office. Hope you guys have fun!

If he owns it then he has the right to do what he wants on it, but I could never do that on my boat. |
Re: Fl. Poker run Pics.
Triple X was running all Saturday morning. He took it out of the water to head back north. Man does that thing sound awesome.
I will post some pics tommorow. We had a blast! |

Re: Fl. Poker run Pics.
Any reports on how Bob's Tiger ran with the new power???
|
Re: Fl. Poker run Pics.
That is the old Animal House.
I had the pleasure or riding to Gilberts with them. It went fast w/ twin 1200 Sterlings, but it fly's now. Easy on the work boots. He has to wear them due to ankle injuries. He is very respectful and doe stake them off if he has to cross any other vessel. I could not believe what I saw when running on the boat. 97 mph at 3800 rpm after the reduction. Boat is good for well over 130. XXX came out of the water early because we had to be in Rhode Island before the snow on the east coast. |

It was nice meeting you Mark. Hope you guys had a great time. |
Re: Fl. Poker run Pics.
Well if it's his boat he can do whatever he wants......I would think that a Good pair of hightop's (like the pro basketball players use) would be better, more support and cushion, plus all around softer on you and the boat!!
But, heck I'm just a poor undertaker  with a Baja not a Outerlimits :( |

The run went well for us. We never got any test time in before the run. The boat hit the water at 730 pm Thursday night after many man hours of finish work that day. We made a few runs in the dark and then to the docks for cleaning. We pulled out of the marina with the rest of the fleet with a total of 20 minutes of time(minus the dyno time) We kept it fairly conservative for the whole run and didnt really push the boat at all. When we did finally push it all I could turn was 4500-4650 rpms for 73-74 mph. I dont know if we had a linkage issue or we just totally missed on the 5 blade props. Las and Throttle up are working on that as we speak. We only had one issue and we were able to mediate the problem. We lost an oil plug that sits on top of the big oil pan Everytime we would stop there would be oil in the bilge but we couldnt find where the leak was coming from. We would clean it up, run the engine at idle but couldnt see any leaks. Las Mesa finally figuered it out and I was able to squeeze down in between the engines and spot the missing plug. It was a 30 second fix after we figured it out.(and 5 gallons of oil !!) Las Mesa and his crew were absolutly the best with finishing the project and following thru on what he said he was going to do and by sticking with me and answering his phone probably 50 time thruout the weekend trying to diagnose the problem. He offered to come down to Islamorada, but w/o parts or a parts store open in the Keys it didnt make much sense until we new what we had. It was a great weekend overall and is a cant miss for our Poker Run crew |
