Re: Fl. Poker run Pics.
In post #16 (getreals #14) the bottom picture!! Is that guy wearing workboats on the back of that boat!!! One foot is even on the painted back deck!!! If that was my boat he would be wearing concrete boots in the ocean right now!!
The guy with the boots is actually the owner of the boat and has a bad ankle, those are the only things that don't hurt him when he is running the boat. He gets his balls busted all the time about it. It is the old Animal House refitted with t55 1350hp turbines and its going back in for new 1600 hp turbines. i was fortunate to take a ride on that boat at the Miami Boat Show.

I promise myself that next year I will do that run in a serious piece of machinery. I have wanted to do that run for a long time, but since it is always the week after Miami it just makes it too long to stay away from the office. Hope you guys have fun!

If he owns it then he has the right to do what he wants on it, but I could never do that on my boat.

That is the old Animal House.
I had the pleasure or riding to Gilberts with them. It went fast w/ twin 1200 Sterlings, but it fly's now. Easy on the work boots. He has to wear them due to ankle injuries. He is very respectful and doe stake them off if he has to cross any other vessel. I could not believe what I saw when running on the boat. 97 mph at 3800 rpm after the reduction. Boat is good for well over 130.
XXX came out of the water early because we had to be in Rhode Island before the snow on the east coast.
