Any of you guys ever been to the "Tampa Machinery Auction" on 301?

Yes. It's huge and you can usually find some good deals. The problem is, if you're a new guy trying to get some stuff there, good luck...the veterans of the auction usually find ways to sway things in their favor.

thats what I figured, dad found a boat there that he is interested in, and I'm trying to figure out exctly what it is..all he can tell me is that it says XSE VS on it and the hull id sales listing even says that...hell of it it I cant find anything abot a boat manufacturer called SXE anywhere on the internet. he says its an ex Manatee Co. Sherrifs boat HIN: SXE02597G787

Im trying like hell to figure out what the hell this thing is and what its worth before it sells tomorrow.

thanks Nick, is there any other way to check manufacturers codes? NADA only shows Release boats dating back to 92 and they are exactly what the name implies "backcountry boats" My dad says this thing he is looking at is an offshore V thats at least 30ft.

Sounds to me like there's some funny business going on with the HIN...

The USCG site is the only one I'm aware of.
